'Catching Fire' Promotions : SUBWAY® Restaurants and Lionsgate Team Up

Lionsgate, the production house for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire announced that they have tied up with worlds one of the biggest food chain Subway for the promotion of its upcoming movie.

SUBWAY (R) and Lionsgate will utilize their promotion to support Feeding America, a non-profit organization consisting of more than 200 food banks nationwide.

There are a number of promotional assets planned to be performed at the restaurants. Even a special theme based product line is decided to be launched. There would also be specially marked packaging codes on the packets which will allow people to participate in online contests which would also make them win prizes.

The fans are even allowed for a pose with the standees and their photos are welcomed to the online forum which again provides them a chance to win.

Michelle Cordial, Director of Marketing Development for SUBWAY  restaurants says that "There’s nothing hotter than ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise and Being the one  to deliver exclusive ‘Catching Fire’ experiences to our Subway fans is something that Hunger Games enthusiasts can’t find anywhere else.” 

With Subway as a promotional partner Lionsgate has found new ways to reach a much larger audience. What makes this promotion truly special to the studio is an ability to work with SUBWAY to support Feeding America and a help to provide those in need, which is said by the According to the Vice President of Promotions and Consumer Products for Lionsgate.

The catching fire includes the Victory Tour of Katnis and Peeta for winning the 74th Hunger Games.In this victory tour they are visiting all the districts one by one. On the other side Katniss senses a rebellion coming ahead. But the capitol is much in control as President Snow is preparing for the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The quarter Quell) which would be a competition that would change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire  is directed by Francis Lawrence which is based upon a novel “Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins and is produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, might  bring in $900 million for Lionsgate
